This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Local Coupons LLC (“Local Coupons,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal information of users (“you” or “your”) of our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy.

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you use our Services, including but not limited to:

• Profile preferences including coupon categories and deal interests you select

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Services, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

• Device information such as your device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information
• Location data, including precise geolocation data from your mobile device (with your consent) and approximate location derived from your IP address
• Usage data including pages viewed, features used, coupon interactions (saves, views, redemptions), search queries, and time spent on the Services
• Log data such as your IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps
• Online identifiers such as cookie IDs and advertising identifiers, and records of the pages you visit and actions you take on our website, collected through cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies as described in Section 6

We may receive information about you from third-party sources, including:

• Analytics providers that help us understand usage patterns
• Advertising partners, such as Meta Platforms, Inc., that help us deliver and measure the effectiveness of promotions
• Visitor-identification providers that may tell us the business or, in some cases, the individual associated with a website visit, as described in Section 6.3

• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms, conditions, and policies
• To develop new products, services, features, and functionality
• For any other purpose with your consent or as otherwise described at the time of collection

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

3.1 With Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors, consultants, and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, and customer support. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and in accordance with this Policy.

3.2 With Business Partners

When you save or redeem a coupon, we may share limited information with the participating merchant to facilitate the transaction. This may include your name, redemption status, and transaction details. We do not share your email address, phone number, or precise location with merchants unless you explicitly consent.

3.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; (b) enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements; (c) protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or the public; or (d) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

3.4 Business Transfers

In connection with any merger, acquisition, sale of assets, financing, or transfer of all or a portion of our business to another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our Services of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.

3.5 With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties when you have given us explicit consent to do so.

3.6 Aggregated or De-identified Data

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you with third parties for research, marketing, analytics, and other purposes.

3.7 With Advertising and Analytics Partners

When you visit our website, the advertising, analytics, and visitor-identification tools described in Section 6 collect online identifiers, device and browser information, IP address, and information about the pages you view and actions you take, and disclose it to the companies that provide those tools. Those companies may combine this information with other information they hold and may use it for their own purposes, including to show you ads on other websites and apps. Under some U.S. state privacy laws, this may be considered “targeted advertising,” a “sale,” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money, and you can opt out of this activity at any time as described in Section 6.4.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services. We may also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your information, we will either delete or anonymize it.

If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within thirty (30) days, unless we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with our Services. These technologies help us:

• Understand how you use our Services
• Deliver and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
• Improve our Services and your overall experience

You can control cookies through your browser settings and other tools. However, disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features of our Services. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information, as described in Section 6.4. Because there is no common standard for the older Do Not Track (DNT) signal, we do not respond to DNT signals.

6.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), to help us understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, the time and duration of your visits, the links you click, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and details about your device and browser. This information is transmitted to and stored by Google and is used to compile reports on website activity for us.

We have enabled IP anonymization where available so that your IP address is truncated before being stored. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally or to link analytics data to your account. Google may use the collected data in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy, and you can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by managing cookies through your browser settings.

6.2 Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, an advertising and measurement tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta,” the company that operates Facebook and Instagram). The Meta Pixel uses cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect and send to Meta information about your visit, including the pages you view and when, your IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, and information Meta may already hold about you if you use Facebook or Instagram. We use this information to measure how well our ads perform, to build audiences of people who have visited our website, and to show relevant ads to you and to people like you on Facebook, Instagram, and other services.

Meta acts as an independent controller of the information it receives and may use it under its own terms, including to improve its ads systems. We do not intentionally send Meta sensitive information through the Meta Pixel, such as health, financial account, precise location, or form contents like your phone number or email address.

6.3 Visitor Identification (Leadsy)

We use Leadsy, a visitor-identification service, to understand which businesses and prospective customers visit our website. Leadsy's script collects your IP address, device and browser information, cookie identifiers, and the pages you visit, and may match that information against data from third-party sources to identify the business, and in some cases the individual and their business contact information, associated with your visit. We use this information to understand interest in our Services and to follow up with businesses that may want to work with us.

6.4 Your Privacy Choices: Opting Out of Targeted Ads

You can opt out of the Meta Pixel and Leadsy tags in this browser using the control below. When you opt out, we save a cookie in your browser that remembers your choice and stops those tags from loading. If you clear your cookies or use another browser or device, you will need to opt out again there. If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we automatically treat it as an opt-out and do not load those tags.

You can also limit interest-based advertising from many companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance at https://optout.aboutads.info/ and the Network Advertising Initiative at https://optout.networkadvertising.org/. Opting out does not mean you will stop seeing ads; it means the ads you see may be less relevant to you.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Account Information

You may review, update, or correct your account information at any time by signing in to your account or contacting us. You may also request that we deactivate or delete your account, subject to certain legal obligations that may require us to retain specific information.

7.2 Marketing Communications

You may opt out of receiving promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those communications or by contacting us directly. To stop marketing text messages, reply STOP to any message you receive from us; see Section 8 for full details of our text message program. Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you transactional or service-related messages.

7.3 Location and Device Permissions

You can control location, notification, and other device-level permissions through your device or browser settings at any time. Disabling these permissions may limit the functionality of certain features of our Services.

7.4 Additional Rights Under State Privacy Laws

Depending on where you live, including Oregon, California, and other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to: (a) know or access the personal information we have collected about you and the categories of third parties we disclose it to; (b) correct inaccurate personal information; (c) delete personal information; (d) obtain a portable copy of your personal information; and (e) opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information.

To opt out of targeted advertising, use the control in Section 6.4 or turn on Global Privacy Control. To make any other request, contact us through the contact form on our website. We will verify your request using information associated with you, and you may use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to your appeal within the time required by applicable law.

8. Text Message (SMS) Program

If you provide your mobile phone number and affirmatively opt in by checking the consent box on one of our signup forms, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from Local Coupons at the number you provided, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You are not required to agree to receive text messages in order to buy any goods or services from us, and declining will not affect your ability to use the rest of our Services.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, and any such charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. We do not control and are not responsible for carrier charges.

You may cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and will not send you further marketing text messages unless you opt in again. For help, reply HELP or contact us through the contact form on our website. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

When you opt in, we record the mobile number you provided, the date and time of your consent, the exact disclosure text shown to you at the time of consent, the page or form where you signed up, and technical information such as the IP address and browser user agent associated with the submission. We retain this record of consent for as long as you remain opted in and afterward for as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable law, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

We do not sell or rent mobile phone numbers collected through our text message program, and we do not share them with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share them only with the service providers that help us operate the messaging program, as described in Section 3.1.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, by providing additional notice through our Services.
